Education

Education is the key to prevention. The AIDS Ministry Network provides comprehensive education to help prevent the transmission of HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).

  • Red Cross Instruction is available in a four module program. These modules separate fact from fiction and inform you how to best keep yourself protected from HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections.

  • Affirming Persons-Saving Lives responds to the real concerns of real people facing the dangers of HIV transmission and AIDS.

  • Our Whole Lives is a series of sexuality education programs for young adults and adults. Written by professional sexuality educators, the programs provide accurate information for parents, teachers and pastors to use with children and young people to help them learn about sexuality in the affirming and supportive setting of our churches.

  • Positively Living Speakers Network links you and people living with HIV and other STIs to speak at your congregation or event.
    • TESTING
On-site free anonymous HIV testing is available to any congregation.
    • SUPPORT
The AIDS Ministry Network can assist with many technical aspects of starting a  prevention or support ministry within your own congregation or  community.
    • TRAINING
The AIDS Ministry Network provides American Red Cross Training for anyone who would like to become a certified HIV Prevention Specialist.

HIV Counseling, Testing and Referral Services Training can be arranged through most state health departments.

  • Want to start the conversation in your congregation?
The AIDS Ministry Network has resources to help you get started. Whether you need sermon idea, want to have a Sexual Health Awareness Sunday, need help with your current ministry or want to start an outreach program, we are here to help. Our quarterly e-newsletter will inform you about upcoming events and opportunities.
