Journeying the Good News Road: A conference on Congregational Transformation
January 18 to 20, 2006
Congregational Transformation is a spiritual, systemic, and strategic journey traveled by a congregation urgently striving to realize what God has called it to be.
- Spiritual because transformation is about listening to God.
- Systemic because it is about everything a congregation does.
- Strategic because it addresses challenge, change, and transitions through an intentional process.
Journey because transformation is not an event, but a never-ending process to manifest the unique future to which God is calling.
What will happen?
The conference will provide an opportunity for people to learn from the speakers throughout our time together. It will also be an opportunity for people to learn both from each other and together. There will be both formal and informal presentations, time to gather in small groups, to explore the situations that are common across the church and to network both within each region and across the church.
What will I get?
People coming will receive a variety of resources, have opportunities to explore resources with people who are using them, explore the theology of transformation, experience a variety of ways in which the church worships and experiences a deepening of their relationship with God.
