Information on sponsoring a Children Worship and Wonder Storyteller Training event
Local Congregations of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) can partner with the DHM Office of Family and Children’s Ministry to sponsor training events in Children Worship & Wonder.
Up to five people from the sponsoring church may attend the training at no cost, IF 10 paid registrations are received from other churches.
Sponsoring Congregations:

- Provide the space for the training. This means that as the sponsoring church you must have a furnished Children Worship & Wonder Center.
- Provide snack food and drinks throughout the training.
- Provide a light breakfast and lunch on Saturday for training participants.
- Provide overnight hospitality, if requested by a participant. If a participant requests housing, the sponsoring church is asked to provide housing in the home of a church member.
- Provide a list of hotels that are close to the church and a map of the surrounding area.
- Help DHM promote the event. A copy ready registration form and information, along with extra Children Worship & Wonder brochures, a flyer on the training, and a sample news release will be sent to the sponsor church. The sponsoring church is asked to use these materials to promote the training in the local community.
- Copy materials used in training. If the trainer is traveling a long distance, the sponsoring church is often asked to provide assistance in copying materials and assembling training books.
If your congregation is interested in sponsoring a Children Worship & Wonder Training or if you have questions, please contact Kaye Edwards, Director of Family and Children’s Ministries, DHM, kedwards@dhm.disciples.org.
