Apple crisp
8 cups pared and sliced apples
1 1/4 cups quick cooking oatmeal
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup margarine or butter (half and half of each is best)
Arrange apple slices in greased 9 x 12 inch pan. Combine oatmeal, sugar, flour, and spices. Cut in butter. Sprinkle this mixture over apples. Bake in moderate oven (350) for 35 to 45 minutes.
Serves 12 adults or 6 teenagers.
