How many of us, when confronted with an obstacle, throw up our hands in frustration? How many of us look for a way out when it seems as if the odds are stacked against us? Fortunately, Ben Fletcher, 17, Pfafftown (N.C.) Christian Church, doesn't see things quite the same way.

Although no official men's group exists at Pfafftown Christian Church, Ben decided it was important for his church to have a pancake breakfast to make a contribution to the Disciple Men's Outreach Mission Fund. Seeing no men's group to do the project, he organized, implemented and completed the very first Pancake Day at Pfafftown Christian Church by himself! We are thankful for young men like Ben who take matters into not only their hands but their hearts as well in order to spread the good news. Congratulations Ben on a job well done!
