The Church Finance Council has officially merged into the General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The merger, approved by the Fort Worth General Assembly, better aligns the services and structures around the needs of mission and allows for additional services, while streamlining costs and reducing administration. The Office of the General Minister and President, as the office called to carry forth the work of the General Assembly, has created several new positions in assuming the duties and responsibilities of Treasury Services, Promotion, and Stewardship.

Merger Frequently Asked Questions
Where do we mail our contributions?
Congregations should continue to remit gifts in the same manner. Contributions should be made payable and mailed to:
Church Finance Council
PO Box 1986
Indianapolis, IN 46206
Congregations can download remittance forms at www.churchfincancecouncil.org and soon at www.disciplesmissionfund.org. If your congregation has an agreement with your regional office to submit your gifts directly through the region, then continue to do so.
Can our church submit gifts to DMF and the Special Day Offerings electronically?
For additional information on how to set up recurring contributions or electronic contributions for your congregation, contact John Goebel, senior accountant at (317) 713-2453.
What about Special Day Offering materials? When will the materials arrive and do I have to sign up?
Special Day Offering materials will be automatically shipped First Class mail or UPS. Congregations do not need to register to receive these materials. The shipping schedule for 2008 is:
Easter will be mailed on January 14, 2008

Who do I call if we need to change the amount of materials we are receiving or with questions about materials?
If Disciples have questions related to Special Day Offering materials, the quantities shipped, or suggestions, contact Todd Adams at (317) 713-2414. For questions regarding Week of Compassion Materials, call Elaine Cleveland at (317) 713-2442.
Where can we find online resources?
The new Web site is www.disciplesmissionfund.org. Currently, this will direct you to the old CFC Web site. A new Web site with additional resources is being developed.
We have always ordered our stewardship materials through CFC. Where do we order them now?
Stewardship materials can be ordered through the Ecumenical Stewardship Center at www.stewardshipresources.org or by calling (800) 835-5671. The Ecumenical Stewardship Center has been producing the materials previously resold by CFC.
Later this spring, congregations will receive a complimentary copy of Giving Magazine, an excellent resource on stewardship. This is compliments of the Office of the General Minister and President, the Christian Church Foundation, and Church Extension. The magazine is produced by the Ecumenical Stewardship Center.
The staff persons in the Office of General Minister and President are grateful for your support of Disciples Mission Fund and your faithful stewardship.
The Rev. Dr. Todd Adams is associate general minister and vice-president of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
