2009 Resources: Working for Wholeness in a Fragmented World
In this packet you will find resources for planning Laity Sunday in
conjunction with the Week of the Laity, January 25-31, 2009. This date is not a requirement; the resources are designed so that they may be used at any time of the church year that best fits your congregational needs and planning.
2009 is the 200-year anniversary of one of the Disciples’ founding documents, Thomas Campbell's Declaration & Address. In his first proposition, Thomas reminds us, "The church of Christ on earth is essentially, intentionally, and constitutionally one." In recognition of our heritage as a movement for Christian unity, this packet includes a page of quotations and links that might be helpful to your congregation in its Week of the Laity planning.
