Your International Day of Pancakes contributions are being put to work in 2009. Several areas across the nation have received this year's money to help children. The grants range from $5,000 to $12,000.

The approved projects for 2009 Pancake Grants included:

· Men of Faith Christian Church
Hollywood, Fla.

For the building of a Mulit-Acitvity playground system that would meet the National Program for Playground Safety and ADA accessibility requirements.

· Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in West Virginia, Parkersburg, W.V.

Relocating and expanding the playground area for newly purchased property.  Prestera Center is a long-term residential addictions recovery program for women and child.

· Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Georgia

Repair water damaged floor in dining hall and install new baseborads.  Repair water damaged floor in the Bath House, repairs to roof.

All these projects provided Disciple Men a hands-on opportunity to help children and were sponsored by Regional, District/Area, or local church Men’s groups. What a wonderful ministry!
