Black Leadership Projects Grant

The Black Leadership Projects Committee announces the opening of the 2012 grant process. The Black Leadership Projects Committee will meet at the end of July to consider grant requests for funding for 2012. If you have a request that you would like the committee to consider, please submit your request to me no later than April 20, 2012.

 The Black Leadership Project was created in 1970 by the United Christian Missionary Society. Funding is provided by interest income from a bequest of the sale of Mount Beulah Farm. Funds are granted to applicants whose projects develop, nurture and strengthen church leadership in African American congregations.  Requests for funding must include:

1)      Name of Project

2)      Person(s) submitting the request

3)      Purpose of Project

4)      Target Audience

5)      Rationale for Project

6)      Procedure

7)      Staff Person Responsible

8)      Funding requested re: Total Budget.
