Winter 2012 

Practicing radical hospitality.

How do we extend Christ's invitation to the world beyond our walls? This issue begins the stories from the 2011 Woman-to-Woman Worldwide Program trip to Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of the Congo. It includes the country map. (Three-session study guide is available. Additional Family Tree diagram.) 

The Winter 2012 issue includes an article on Refuggee/Immigrant Ministries. One of the photos is quoted incorrectly. It features the Makola family - and states their sponsor church incorrectly. The correct sponsor church of the Makola family is Crestwood Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky. We apologize to our general readership and especially to Crestwood Christian Church members for this error. An additional correction will be noted in the Summer 2012 issue. Thank you to the many members of Crestwood who took the time to contact us. Your input is appreciated.

Spring 2012

An ecumenical Bible study by Nancy Benson-Nicol. Suggestions for Leaders by Magdalena I. Garcia. Based on selected Epistles: 1 and 2 Peter, 1-3 John, and Jude. These General Epistles were formal communications that were intended to be read publicly. Additional Bible Study copies are available for purchase.

Finding new ways to connect using 21st-century technology. This issue continues the stories from the 2011 Woman-to-Woman Worldwide Program trip to Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of the Congo. (Three-session study will be available.)

Fall 2011 (October issuance / September 1st renewal due)
Valley stories.

What do we learn and how do we grow from troubled and disappointing times? This issue ends the stories from the 2011 Woman-to-Woman Worldwide Program trip to Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of the Congo.  (Three-session study will be available.)

The Purpose of Disciples Women

The purpose of Disciples Women is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ and to provide a channel through which women in the congregation and the regional Women's Ministries in the United States and Canada may be joined in fellowship and find means for effective participation in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
