At its core, Disciples Volunteering is about helping Disciples grow as Servants. Everything that we do, every program we connect with and every resource we offer has this as its aim. Sometimes this is explicit, as when a Mission Team travels to a DHM partnered Mission Center for an intensive time of serving and education. Other times, as with a disaster response Mission Station, the experience is less structured. The intent, however, is the same: that all who answer the call to "Get Dirty for Jesus" will pay attention to how God is moving in the experience. Where do you see God as you serve? How are you being challenged by what you are seeing, by the relationships you are building? How are you growing as a Disciple of Jesus? How is God shaping your heart for serving with others?

A number of opportunities are available for making a one week Mission Trip, including seasonal projects like Alternative Spring Break and the Summer Missions Project (also viewable via this map). If you are looking for an opportunity to do something more, young adults are strongly encouraged to consider the Summer Missions Intern program. Adults of any age who anticipate having a month (or more) of time to give should consider becoming a Long Term Volunteer.

Other resources are also available and in the works to help with planning of Mission Trips, understanding appropriate Disaster Response, and more! If you can't find what you're looking for in these pages, please e-mail or call and let Disciples Volunteering partner with you as you answer God's call to serve.
