Welcome
The Youth Ministry Commission will consist of one (1) Convener and up to ten (10) members. Commission members will serve three-year terms. The office of the convener is a two year appointment, with the convener to serve one additional year on the Commission following the end of their term.
Regular meetings of the commission will be held monthly by conference call. One annual face to face meeting will be scheduled in the first quarter of the annual year on a non- General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) year. On an Assembly year, the Youth Ministry Commission will meet during the first quarter of the annual year and a second time during, preceding or following the General Assembly.

Do you have a passion for youth ministry? Are you looking to serve on the Youth Ministry Commission? Each applicant should be called by God and seek to empower and connect volunteers who minister to youth. Each applicant will be charged with connecting youth leaders, especially volunteers, across our denomination.
Members of the Youth Ministry Commission are expected to:
- Show a passion for youth ministry and the greater ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on a local and/or regional and/or general level;
- Offer resources, passion, viewpoints, time and ideas in helping strengthen and carry out the goals and vision of the Youth Ministry Commission;
- Participate regularly in conference calls and e-mail;
- Attend one planning meeting per year at DHM's expense; and
- Attend General Assembly and other youth ministry events at your own expense, if possible.
