As North Americans collect more and more "stuff" it becomes harder and harder to know what to get loved ones for those significant days such as birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Christmas.
Refugee and Immigration Ministries offers an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of refugees and immigrants in honor of relatives and friends.
Several refugee and immigration ministries are lifted up in the RIM Alternative Giving Catalog that explains what a certain amount of dollars will buy. Although specific amounts are suggested, any amount for each ministry is welcomed.
How to Participate
Look through the RIM Alternative Giving catalog (908 Kb PDF file). Choose a ministry to support. Send your contribution to RIM—with a note about which ministry you want to support. Print a gift card for your loved one (see below)—or request a gift card from RIM.
Donations of $25 or more can now be made online. Please be sure to designate your donation to the specific alternative giving project you want to support, or the funds will go to the general support of DHM.
