Disciples Volunteering began operation of a Disciples Mission Station in Iowa the week of August 3, 2008, in response to the recent massive flooding there. At this time, three congregations have committed to serve as Mission Stations: Noelridge Christian Church, Cedar Rapids; Marion Christian Church, Marion; and First Christian Church, Coralville. Long-term volunteer training events
September 10 to 13, 2009
St. Andrew's Christian Church, Olathe, Kan.
Disciples Volunteering staff invite prospective volunteers to attend a long-term volunteer training event. The cost for volunteers who attend the training is $0. Housing, transportation, and meals will be provided. Training will begin Thursday and conclude with lunch after worship Sunday.
