Greetings Sisters, Have Faith!
Nothing makes a new day more beautiful and promising than having the right heart, the right spirit, the right mind and the strength…from God. May God bless you with all of these and more today! Scripture states “Create in me a clean heart oh God, and renew a right spirit in me….”Psalm 51:10.
During this time of quarantine, I have enjoyed gardening and setting my worship center for virtual church every Sunday. It has gotten me through these tough times. As we continue to push our way through the pain, fear and anger of injustice in our nation, I pray that I’m not alone in praying this prayer. Fix my heart Oh God, help me do the right thing, say the right words and think the right thoughts…let your spirit fill me with LOVE for my Sisters and Brothers. My faith…, is that you will get me through this one more time. My HOPE… is that I’m not alone fighting for justice and the well-being of ALL God’s children. Sisters are you with me? As you view these worship centers, Speak Micah 6 : 8 “ He has already made it plain. Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, it’s not about you! It’s about GOD.”

Dr. Irie Session, “Badass Women of the Bible”
“This Bible study/sermon series will elevate and center the narratives of biblical women who either directly or indirectly, experienced some kind of emotional distress amid a patriarchal culture and found a way to navigate life in ways that enabled their own flourishing as well as that of the larger community.”
Lori Tapia and Christal Williams, “Hello! Nice to Meet Me: A Journey To The Most Authentic You”
“This book works to break down these structures that keep you from living into the most authentic you and helps you build on a solid foundation based on your God-given identity.
This book is centered on identity: learning and empowering oneself to live into the fullness of your own identity with all that’s included in that amazing and complicated package of YOU.”
Selys Rivera, “Rise in Love: A Poetry Chapbook”
With five sections (i.e. You, Them, Life, God, Me), “Rise in Love: A Poetry Chapbook” is a collection of poems celebrating the many nuances love has, reminding readers that just because love is complicated doesn’t mean it can’t also be wonderful. In a society where everyone is divided across justice-oriented issues, this collection emphasizes that love is what can bring us back together.
Selys is also the author of Social Justice Advocacy 101: How to Become a Social Justice Advocate From A to Z
