Disciples Home Missions is one of the signers of the interfaith amicus briefs Morrison & Foerster filed last week on behalf of faith-based organizations that oppose the “travel ban” Executive Order. The Fourth Circuit brief addressing the “six country ban” and its impact on refugees was filed Wednesday, April 19th, and the Ninth Circuit brief addressing both the six-country ban and the refugee provisions was filed Thursday, April 20th.
The entire Fourth Circuit, sitting “en banc” (meaning all the judges, rather than a panel of three judges), will hold oral argument on the case on Monday, May 8, in Richmond, Virginia, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
The Ninth Circuit will hold oral argument the following week, Monday, May 15, in Seattle, Washington, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Join us in unity at the start of General Assembly in Indianapolis on Saturday, July 8, 2017, from 3 to 5 p.m., for a Disciples Rally 4 Family Justice. We will gather at the convention center beginning at 2:45 p.m. in room 103. Then march to the State Capitol Grounds for a Rally/Press Conference.
