I have several peace lilies throughout our home. I noticed that there were some old, larger leaves that had started looking dead. I also saw that there were some new blooms and leaves that were trying to grow but they were stuck. The dead leaves were sucking the life out of the newness! As I looked at the plant I thought, these old dead leaves need to be cut off. I knew they needed to go but I also didn’t want to make the plant smaller by getting rid of the large dead leaves. Long story short, I cut off the old, dead leaves and within days the new blooms and leaves began to blossom.
We all have some old, dead things, people, habits, “stuff” in our lives that are sucking the life out of us. These things are hindering our new growth. I don’t know about you, but I want God to release the new in my life!!! I want to grow! What will you get rid of so that you can bloom? What’s hindering your growth??
