Urgency of Climate Change expressed at the Wild Goose Festival and in 200 Medical Journals

September 8, 2021
The urgency of a faithful climate response was lifted up from the Wild Goose Main Stage on Sunday morning with wisdom offered from Susannah with North Carolina Interfaith Power and Light, and Miriam, our new friend serving in Kenya. Rev. Carol Devine and Rev. Scott Hardin-Nieri from Green Chalice were able to make connections and offer congregational support while along the French Broad River. #faithinaction #creationcare #climatechange #actonclimate #cop26
And just days after this experience at Wild Goose, 200 Medical journals put out a joint statement that the warming climate is the greatest threat to public health.
“The rapidly warming climate is the “greatest threat” to global public health, more than 200 medical journals are warning in an unprecedented joint statement that urges world leaders to cut heat-trapping emissions to avoid “catastrophic harm to health that will be impossible to reverse.”
