Newsletters

QA 2014

The overall theme for Quadrennial Assembly 2014 is "I See You. . .". The daily themes are:  
  • I see you through eyes of grace
  • I see you through the voice of compassion
  • I see you with hands of justice
  • I see you with a heart of joy
  • I see you whole
You are invited to create an art logo for the QA 2014.

Now is the time to create a logo.  Deadline is May 31, 2012. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. Click for updated May 8, 2012  detailed invitation.

Please plan to join a few thousand of your friends in Atlanta at the Marriott Marquis on June 25 to 29, 2014, so you can 'see' everything.

 

Human Trafficking

  • Special message on Human Trafficking from Sharon E Watkins, General Minister and President.
  • General Assembly 2011 Resolution #1120, against Human Trafficking, presented by Disciples Women's Ministries is available as a free download.
  • A "mini" WAW is offered for group use to study, raise awareness of Human Trafficking.

Disciples Women's Ministries announces three new resources to help educate groups about Human Trafficking. The resources may be used individually as a one-time presentation or in tandem for a multi-session study.

  • Flyer - two page fact sheet of information with definitions, statistics, and resource links.
  • PowerPoint Presentation (PowerPoint 2007 is required to run this file.)
  • Five-session Bible Study

The Purpose of Disciples Women

The purpose of Disciples Women is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ and to provide a channel through which women in the congregation and the regional Women's Ministries in the United States and Canada may be joined in fellowship and find means for effective participation in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
