Charlotte Church Goers Flee Border Patrol Raid: ‘We Thought Church was Safe’  Newsweek shares the story of members of a church in Charlotte, North Carolina who fled to nearby woods on November 15 after masked federal agents arrived and detained one congregant, amid the ongoing immigration crackdown taking place in the city.

Faith Groups Condemn All Time Low Refugee Resettlement Goal  
Guided by diverse faith traditions, the Interfaith Immigration Coalition shares collective alarm that the current administration has drastically slashed the refugee resettlement program and abandoned refugees fleeing persecution and war. The IIC stands against the exclusion of any refugee simply because of who they are, where they come from, or what they believe.

It marked the first time in twelve years the US Conference of Catholic Bishops invoked this particularly urgent way of speaking as a body of bishops.
