The General Youth Council is made up of students and adults who are committed to youth ministry in their local congregations and regions. The purpose of the GYC is to give them opportunities to grow as future leaders of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). This is accomplished by having them in key planning roles for General Assembly and other International, National, Ecumenical, and Interfaith youth events. There may also be other opportunities as well for this group to grow in their leadership skills.
Registration is open for DHM’s Youth Ministry Summit @ DYMN Retreat, March 5-7, 2017 at Christmount Christian Assembly. DHM invites each region to send one adult as official rep to the Summit! Constituency groups are also invited to send representation to ensure those voices are heard. Invitation is extended to others in youth ministry to attend the Summit as well. For more information on the summit and how to register.
Disciples Home Missions is proud to welcome back the Rev. Trayce Stewart as the liaison to DHM for the General Youth Council. The Rev. Trayce is also guiding the GYC in planning for their upcoming Mid-Winter Retreat to be held over the Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend in January 2017.

She has had the opportunity to serve the Christian Church in many ways including locally, regionally and nationally.
