Christian Leaders Arrested for Peaceful Capitol Hill Protest in Support of Dream Act

Disciples are among Christian leaders and activists who held hands and sang in an unlawful demonstration inside of the Russell Senate office building in Washington, D.C. on November 1, 2017. For the story and video of the demonstration visit The Christian Post website.
Among those who were detained and arrested were Rev. Dr. Sharon Stanley-Rea, director of refugee and immigration ministries for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Lori Tapia, national pastor for the Disciples of Christ’s Hispanic Ministries.
