Please Join the Week of Action Around the Country In These Ways!:

1. Go HERE to learn about 60+ faith and community actions happening this week ALL OVER THE COUNTRY this week and through next Tuesday, December 18th, (International Migrants Day): https://migrantjustice.afsc.org/events
2. If you are in San Diego area (or want to be there this weekend!), please join other Disciples (like Pastor Gabriel Lopez from East Whittier Christian Church and the Pacific Southwest Region) to participate in the annual “La Posada Sin Frontera” happening THIS SATURDAY, 2-4 p.m. Pacific Time ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BORDER) in San Diego/Tijuana! If you are near Washington, DC, plan to join with faith partners from Refugee & Immigration Ministries and also with Disciples from the border for a Press Conference and a “Posadas Migrantes” on Capitol Hill, from 2:30-5:00 p.m. (and ending with a tamale feast!) 5. Keep CALLING to support Asylum Seekers and to Urge Congress Diminish Funding That Harms Immigrants or Border Communities. See and share our call alert here!
6. Join in Prayer, Study, and Action about Immigrant and Refugee Themes through this 8 Part Advent & Epiphany Devotion Set!!
7. Learn from and Build Solidarity With Our Disciples Ministry partners. Connect with Global Ministry partners in Tijuana like Casa Romero who are supporting migrants, and with partners in Central America who understand well the root causes for the Exodus.
8. Pray for Disciples congregations in Tijuana assisting migrants, like Iglesia de Todas las Naciones led by Pastor Lupita. Pray also for Pastor Gabriel Lopez and others in Southern Ca. assisting them, and donate to Week of Compassion with the designation “Refugees” to strengthen outreach to migrants.
