Dallas Texas in the Southwest #Pray4Refugees

“Dallas is a city that is reliant on refugees and immigrants, because they define, assist, participate in, and grow our culture.  I can’t imagine a Dallas in which the contributions of immigrants and refugees, where people who are different from what we might consider normative, would not exist.  Our city…and our country are built on diversity and understanding.  We are stronger because we are different.  Not weaker.  Not lesser than….And I encourage all of us to greatly reach out, and I encourage our government specifically to increase our limits to at least 75,000 in the resettlement of refugees.” –Rev. Please let your legislators hear from you by calling to ensure that a number of only 30,000 refugees is NOT accepted!  Instead, urge for the Administration to consult with Congress (through the Judiciary Committees) as is required.  Tweet and call to the Southwest region’s legislators who have key roles as Judiciary Committee members will be making this decision, including these from Texas:  .@JohnCornyn @SenTedCruz @Replouiegohmert @JudgeTedPoe @RepRatcliffe @LamarSmithTX21 and @JacksonLeeTX18. Communicate that faith voices continue to say, #RefugeesWelcome, and that we want to #Welcome75K!!!
