Webinar: Protecting Asylees & Detainees, Ending Family Separation!

June 18, 2020

Join Our Faith Webinar! “Detention, Asylum, Family Separation & COVID-19”, Wed., June 3, 4 PM ET/1 PM PT

As people of faith, how will we respond to people dying in jails, prisons, and detention facilities, and being deported–especially during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Please join this webinar to find out what we can do as faith communities to prevent family separation and family detention, and to protect asylum seekers. We will also explore how racism and militarization infect both the criminal justice and immigration systems.
Please RSVP Here and a link for the webinar will be sent to you!
Speakers:
Guerline Jozef, President of Haitian Bridge Alliance
Chiqui Sanchez Kennedy, Immigration Legal Services Director, YMCA International Services
Pedro Rios, Director of the U.S.-Mexico Border Program, American Friends Service Committee

  • Prevent family separation and family detention
  • Stop transferring and deporting people, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • End the massive immigration detention system
  • Free as many people as possible from federal, state, & local prisons and jails
