Sharon
Thank you for being one of the thousands of people who have signed our petition to Speaker Boehner demanding immigration reform this year.
Today, it meant so much to us to hear President Obama give his support to our fast. Our cause is growing and you can help it grow even more.
Will you please forward this link to our petition to your friends and family? http://support.fast4families.org
I’m now on day 14 of my fast. It’s been a hard journey, but then I think of the sacrifices my parents have made.
I want to be able to look my parents in their eyes and tell them that I have done absolutely everything I can to make life better for immigrant families like ours. I want to make our country a place where no immigrant child has to worry about Mommy or Daddy coming home.
I am asking you to do one simple thing to help right now. Together, we’ve made a great start – more than 7,000 people have signed our petition already! But when we deliver your petitions to Speaker Boehner, we want to be able to deliver many times that number to show him how badly his constituents want this reform.
Please forward this link to everyone you know.
Tell them why you are standing with us, show them this email, spread the word – help us build this movement: http://support.fast4families.org
So many people have gotten involved, from solidarity fasts to praying with us. I want you to know that I appreciate everything that you and thousands of others have done and I can’t wait to see your friends and family sign the petition.
In solidarity,
Cristian Avila
